The Coronet Theatre Jazz Festival 2023: Zoe Rahman Trio

(This is a past event and is no longer running)

MOBO Award winner, Mercury Prize nominee and Ivor Novello Impact Award winner Zoe Rahman will play a trio set with Gene Calderazzo and Andrea Di Biasi, exploring music from her latest album Colour of Sound, as well as revisiting music from her back catalogue and a sprinkling of tunes by some of her favourite composers.

COLOUR OF SOUND

Colour Of Sound combines Zoe’s unique and powerful writing with thrilling arrangements and dynamic performances to create an album of jazz at its highest level. It’s a splash of colour and a bold statement beautifully realised that is Zoe Rahman’s most compelling work to date. “This music was written to connect with people – it’s very emotive but people are really receptive to that right now after all they’ve been through, and they’re so up for hearing live music! Every show feels like a celebration and this music reflects that
