TEATRO DEI GORDI: PANDORA

Thu 27 Feb – Sun 02 Mar 2025
Last time Italian physical theatre company Teatro dei Giordi came to The Coronet with Sulla Morte Senza Esagerare it was one of the fastest selling shows of the season. This time they bring an extraordinary show about… a public toilet.

Funny, fast paced, at times wildly surreal and at others surprisingly familiar, six actors play over fifty identities in an astonishing feat of physical and visual transformation.

Sarah Jane Morris: Longing To Be Free

Sat 08 Mar 2025
One of Britain’s most influential jazz and R&B singers, Sarah Jane Morris, comes to the Coronet to celebrate International Women’s Day.

Longing To Be Free is an evening in which Sarah Jane and her band, in their inimitable style, honour women and their contribution to the history of song – female artists past and present who have inspired her own musical journey.

SABURO TESHIGAWARA: WALTZ

Wed 19 – Sat 22 Mar 2025
The UK premiere of Waltz – a deeply moving duet from Japanese master choreographer Saburo Teshigawara and artistic collaborator Rihoko Sato. Waltz is a dynamic perspective on his own life: “I find I see my life through both ends of a telescope – with memory, experience and an imagined future sometimes magnified, and sometimes distant.

Teshigawara harnesses the three-beat tempo of waltzes from many countries and eras to evoke the dancers’ interior rhythm, heartbeat and breathing. Waltz communicates on a spiritual level, connecting the audience and performers with their own memories and consciousness.

Euripides Laskaridis: Relic

Wed 02 – Sat 05 Apr 2025

Renowned Greek director and performance artist Euripides Laskaridis, returns to The Coronet Theatre with Relic, an outrageous and engaging solo performance that takes playful theatrical risks to test the limits of our acceptance of the incongruous and unfamiliar.

JON FOSSE: EINKVAN

Thu 08 – Sat 17 May 2025

A new play from 2024 Nobel Prize-winner Jon Fosse. Directed by Hedda Award winner Kjersti Horn.

Eikvan (Everyman) is a beautiful hybrid of contemporary art and theatre in which the actors, extraordinarily, cannot see the audience. Elegantly interlocking the intimacy of film with the immediacy of live theatre, two cameras vividly capture every intimate moment in extreme close-up.

Fosse takes you to the heart of the longing for companionship, and the sorrow and powerlessness of not being able to reach those we are closest to – our immediate family. It is about the courage to love and forgive yourself and others.
