Sasha Dugdale is a poet, translator and editor. She has published four collections of poetry, most recently Joy (Carcanet, 2017) which was a PBS Choice. Joy’s title poem was the recipient of the Forward Prize for Best Single Poem in 2016. In the same year, Sasha Dugdale received a Cholmondeley Award for her poetry. She has translated many Russian contemporary women poets, including Elena Shvarts, whose collection Birdsong on the Seabed (Bloodaxe, 2011), was a PBS Recommended Translation and shortlisted for the Popescu Prize. She also translates plays, most recently Bad Roads by Natalia Vorozhbyt, produced by the Royal Court in 2017. She was editor of Modern Poetry in Translation 2012-2017 and co-editor of the international anthology Centres of Cataclysm (Bloodaxe, 2016). She lives and works in Sussex.
André Naffis-Sahely was born in Venice to an Iranian father and an Italian mother raised in Abu Dhabi and now lives in LA. His debut collection of poetry is The Promised Land: Poems from Itinerant Life (Penguin, 2017). He has translated over twenty titles of poetry, fiction and nonfiction from French and Italian, including Beyond The Barbed Wire: Selected Poems by Abdellatif Laâbi (Carcanet Press, 2016) which received a PEN Translates award. He is currently a Visiting Teaching Fellow at the Manchester Writing School.
Hannah Sullivan is a poet and academic. She is an Associate Professor at Oxford University and a tutorial fellow at New College, where she teaches English literature from Romanticism to the present. From 2000 until 2012 she was based mostly in the United States, first in Cambridge MA, where she studied for a PhD in English and American Literature at Harvard, and then in San Francisco. Her debut collection Three Poems was published by Faber in January and is a Poetry Society Selection for Spring 2018. She has also published a book on the way that revision shapes literary style, The Work of Revision (Harvard 2013). Born in Ealing, she has been based in West London again since 2012 and currently lives in Brook Green with her husband, toddler, and baby.
