DRAMA
A brutally honest, hilarious and heartbreaking one-woman show navigating the impossibly confusing gender dynamics of modern love.
Grace, a young woman hungry for affection and looking for love in all the wrong places, is forced to discover what healthy (self) love might look like. A sensational solo performance championing a life’s endless pursuit of healing, told with vulnerability and humour.
Presented and performed in English by the Théâtre National du Luxembourg, where it played to sold out audiences and received critical acclaim. This extraordinary piece of new writing receives its UK Premiere at The Coronet Theatre.
Lovefool is written and directed by Lithuanian-Luxembourgish playwright, actress, filmmaker and theatre director Gintare Parulyte and performed by UK based Croatian-American theatre maker Kristin Winters. Winters has performed Off-Broadway and Off-West End, and is a voice actor. Her original piece, Ghislaine/Gabler, won Best International Show at United Solo Theatre Festival in November 2021 (the world’s largest solo theatre festival) and was one of the most successful shows at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival
Join us for a special after-show talk on May 24th with Sophie Seale (Jungian Psychoanalyst) discussing how the impact of early sexual trauma on can effect women’s love lives, and how ‘theatre therapy’ can have prophylactic value for teenagers and young adults.
