Euripides Laskaridis Masterclass
Ridicule and Transformation – The Poetry Beneath Absurdity
Alongside his return to The Coronet Theatre on the farewell tour of Relic, the internationally successful, critically acclaimed one man performance, we are thrilled to present a unique and exciting opportunity to participate in an exclusive free masterclass led by Euripides Laskaridis; director, performance artist, and world leading voice on the theatre of the absurd.
Workshop Information
In his workshop, Euripides Laskaridis proposes performative tools that arise from his extensive research on ridicule and transformation, drawing from his rich background in physical theatre and ancient Greek drama. Starting with the comedic and the grotesque, as well as everything deemed ‘external,’ he operates from the outside in, always mindful of the unique artistic identity of each participant.
In 2013, he conceived his workshop, Ridicule and Transformation – The Poetry beneath Absurdity. Since then, he has been invited every year to present it to professionals and students of performing arts in various countries, including Greece, France, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, Finland, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.

The workshop is suitable for: professional performers (dancers, actors, singers, etc.) in the field of performing arts, as well as for students and graduates of professional dance and theatre schools. Participants are advised to wear comfortable clothing.
