(This is a past event and is no longer running)

Dame Diana Rigg is an actress famed for her roles as Emma Peel in The Avengers, and as Mrs. James Bond in Her Majesty’s Secret Service, as well as her numerous Shakespearean and Classical roles. Her wide-ranging career now includes Game of Thrones, and she often co-stars with her daughter, the actress (and Real Action Trustee) Rachael Stirling.

Join her in conversation with journalist Tanya Gold (The Guardian & The Spectator) in support of children’s charity Real Action.

About Real Action

By purchasing tickets for this event; you’ll be helping Real Action, an educational charity, empower local disadvantaged children – by teaching them to master literacy.

Real Action uses a wonderful method at its three Butterfly Saturday Reading Schools. Hundreds of local children, from nearby housing estates and social housing, flock to these popular schools by word of mouth. And they do wonderfully: their average reading age advance is 12 months in an average 20 hours’ Butterfly teaching. Studies also suggest that they evade street life. Universities beckon.

These Butterfly Saturday schools provide a model for literacy teaching that Real Action is working to replicate elsewhere to empower ever more children.

Educational disadvantage is not to be their destiny. Support Real Action, and you will support the success of hundreds of Butterfly children.
